Valentine’s Day Treats: Dipped Pretzels

IMG_8271.png

When February rolls around, one of the first things that come to mind is Valentine’s Day. Though the idea of romantic dates and flowers is nice the reality is my husband is just not into it! Which leaves me in charge of making special plans, which I don’t mind too much (I guess lol)

Growing up my mom ensured we felt loved everyday and especially during this season, with activities and special gifts ! Landon is still very young but I still want to make it fun!

So today I’m sharing a fun activity you can do with your toddler- it was a bit messy but he enjoyed it and I loved watching his face.

I dont really give Landon sugary snacks and to my surprise whenever he has tried to sneak any he has always spit it out - so this was way more about making memories than making anything he would actually eat but this is a great no-bake treat for your kids!

Put candy melts into a microwave safe bowl, following instructions on bag- microwave until fully melted (I microwaved my melts for 30 second intervals at 50% power)

Dip,tap & repeat

Carefully or not so carefully dip your pretzels into melted chocolate. Tap off the excess and place onto parchment paper.

sprinkle

add your sprinkle topping while your chocolate melts haven’t fully dried.

Once they are starting dry (about 30 seconds later) lift them slightly off the parchment paper to ensure the chocolate melts stay to the shape of the pretzels. Once they have fully set you can enjoy them!

If you have an easy toddler friendly recipe please share and let me know if you try this super easy one with your kiddos !
