Valentines Charcuterie Board
Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and before you know it, the cost of roses and chocolates will have skyrocketed- if you are a last minute person, I think 2023 is your year to make some changes - check your local grocery listing for why lol
I love finding opportunities to make both friends and family feel special, whether it’s a get together, a spontaneous brunch, overly decorated table for the kiddos- you name it!
One of my favourite ways to sprinkle a little magic into our lives is with charcuterie boards, so in honour of Valentine’s Day I’m sharing a fun and easy cookie themed charcuterie board you can try!
Charcuterie boards are so fun to make and if you follow these 3 important rules you will be on your way to creating some edible magic of your own.
Theme: there’s a reason why charcuterie boards capture the attention of many. A theme/vision helps to create cohesive look. You want all items to go well together.
Variety of Items: Different textures, colours and sizes not only provide visual interest but also gets those partaking of it excited to pair complimentary flavours- even a sweet board needs something that’s a little salty, or sour so guests can enjoy different bites.
Fill your space: There are so many delicious items that make for great filleted, marshmallows, popcorn, blueberries, pomegranates and nuts to name a few- these tiny but mighty items make any charcuterie look lush and inviting.
For my cookie themed Valentine Charcuterie I chose items that made sense for cookie decorating and snacking. Icing, sprinkles, cookies, candy melts all perfect for cookies.
While marshmallows, raspberries, jelly beans and gummies were perfect for munching on.
Placed together with a flower and some disco balls for a little extra pizzaz !
What theme would you choose for your upcoming charcuterie board?
